Okay, chocolate chip cookies are not that creative. I guess most of you already have a recipe that you and your family love but this is so delicious that I thought would be worth it sharing.

I found this recipe online a long time ago, but unfortunately I don’t remember the original source.

This time, I decided to make them on the muffin tin to have a more defined shape. It worked very well and I’m hoping to try heart shapes for Valentine’s Day πŸ™‚

So, if you want to try a new recipe for your chocolate chip cookies, I highly recommend this one!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups of flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 cup butter at room temperature

1 1/2 cups of firmly packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

2 large eggs

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl

In a separate bowl, beat butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until well blended

Beat eggs, one at a time, mixing well

Add flour mixture, beat slowly to incorporate, then beat to blend well.

Stir in chocolate chips

chocolate chip cookieTo make it in a muffin tin, I scooped out about a tablespoon of the dough and shaped it into little balls. Placed them on the muffin tin (you may want to prepare it to avoid sticking on the bottom). With a spoon, I gently pressed on top so the dough would cover the bottom.

Bake at 375 for ~10 min

Enjoy it! I love to eat it warm and I had much more than I should πŸ™‚

And, since I haven’t been writing about motherhood, a quick update is that life is busy with the two little girls, job searching (when time allows it) and some volunteering. Baby L is 9 months old and is standing up and starting to cruise! Our little toddler J is still working on her potty training but we had some progress. Yay!
